A message from Sant’Egidio, one of the Sant’ Elia players, who says that he’ll be a part of the team for the 2019/20 season.

“I want to say a thank you to all my family, my team-mates and the fans.

They have helped me grow and helped me to understand the game and understand myself and to achieve more in my career,” he wrote.”

This is what I want to give back to the fans and the club, because this is my home, my home is in the city of Florence.

I am here to enjoy football.

I will play here, but I am not here to win a trophy or get a lot of money.

I have to continue playing, to be a legend and to do something to help others, not only myself.

I want all of you to know that I love you, that I want you to understand, and that I will do everything in my power to be in your good times and to be the best player in the world.”

The former Juventus and Sampdoria midfielder, who joined Sant’Esposito’s Sampdori side in 2012, will join his former team-mate and former Fiorentina teammate Andrea Barzagli in the starting line-up this season.

Sant’Elias’ squad includes Alessandro Mancini, Davide Solli, Matteo Gabbiadini, Daniele Bicchiero, Domenico Cassano, Francesco Totti, Luca Pisanu, Mario Bagnardi, Davi Zamparini, Gianluca Zappacosta, Stefano Gattuso, Stefania Vassallo, Matteotti and Paolo Pazzini.
