Padi ashram has announced that Ashram’s founder, Kanchrab Ashram, has been diagnosed with leukemia.
The ashram says Ashram has been undergoing treatment for a blood cancer since last week.
Padi says he has decided to end his stay in the ashram.
Paldi will now be taking a break from yoga and yoga retreats.
Pradhan Mantri Shakti Parishad, a left-wing group, said it was against the family’s decision.
“He has never been to any yoga retreat and we will be protesting his decision and demanding the removal of the head priest of the ashrams,” it said.
